REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE POTHOLE

Pothole, uneven roads, drainage and other problems may occur anywhere at anytime, in this case an expert is needed that truly understand the roadside problem. TYPES OF POTHOLE REPAIRS

Fill-In Temporary Repairs. This method of pothole repair is a quick and inexpensive solution for emergency repairs. This “Throw-and-roll” technique does not include any cleaning or shaping of the patch area.

Dig-Out Permanent Repairs. This method of pothole repair is more labor intensive, but it provides a cleaner looking patch area. All water and debris are removed from the pothole, and the pavement around the pothole is cut to provide vertical and in-tact pavement on all sides. A binding tack coat is used on the vertical sides to hold the patching material in-place, and hot mix asphalt is used to fill the patch area. Lastly, an impact roller is used to compact the hot mix asphalt and make it level with the surrounding pavement.
